The Leaf

Part of the Enchanted Forest Collection

The Leaf

This leaf does not belong to any known tree. Its veins glow faintly when held up to direct sunlight, as though remembering the years before being collected. It is believed to fall only when the forest deems it necessary.

It was discovered resting atop a stone, perfectly preserved despite the season. No wind stirred it, and no others lay nearby. Those who found it described a sudden calm, the sense of being observed but not threatened.

When kept close, the leaf helps its holder accept change. Many collectors press it into journals to mark turning points in their lives.
