The Notebook

This notebook was bound with the intention of travel, even if it never leaves the desk. Its pages were designed to accept more than ink they hold pressed plants, fading sketches, and notes written at different stages of thought. Time behaves strangely within it; entries written years apart often feel connected.

The notebook was discovered in a stack of papers tied with twine, buried beneath maps and ticket stubs. None of the pages were dated, yet each entry referenced a journey. The final page was left blank.

Collectors say the notebook reveals patterns over time. When revisited, earlier notes gain new meaning, and forgotten thoughts resurface when needed most. It does not record life as it happens it records life as it is understood later.
